Description Language VDL for Computer Viruses

Detection and removal of computer viruses is a complicated task. For each new discovered computer virus, experts have to add its signature to virus database and write removal subroutine. This paper proposes a computer language VDL for describing computer viruses uniformly, aimed to automatically generate detection and removal subroutines of computer viruses. Its syntax is written in Backus-Naur forms with semantics in natural language and an example is discussed.
