Combined D-S Evidence Theory and Its Application to Multi-sensor Information Fusion

Dempster-Shafer evidence theory and rules of combination have found widespread application in dealing with Multi-sensor target tracking problem.However,it has some shortcomings.D-S evidence combination result cannot proceed if the evidence totally collides with each other.In addition,the combination result cannot keep accord with the real condition when evidence seriously conflicts.To solve this problem,according to the priority of sensors, this paper proposes a way by using combined D-S evidence theory to get reasonable results.The algorithm is simple and avoids using complicated operations,it has the background of engineering application.Compared with the traditional D-S evidence theory,this method improves the decision-making accuracy.
