An improved image registration method based on wavelet decomposition and hybrid optimization

An improved image registration method based on wavelet decomposition,mutual information and hybrid optimization was proposed.Under the lower resolution rate,a global optimization using extremum disturbed and simple particle swarm optimization(EDSPSO) algorithm was performed,and the Powell algorithm was applied under the higher resolution rate.Results are shown that the new method is suitable for both medical image registration and common gray image registration,and has a good global optimization and runtime performance.
