Study on Optimal Path Algorithm for GPS/GIS Vehicle Navigation System

This paper raises some questions about calculating optimal path for vehicle navigation, in terms of analyses of existing references. Then it proposes a optimal path algorithm based on partial searching algorithm with considering limitation and relativity information between nodes and lines in traffic network, and discusses the steps and complexity of algorithm in detail. The experimental result shows that the algorithm is feasible, and it can meet the need of application.
