Key Technologies for Content-based Video Retrieval

Content-based video retrieval plays a critical role in the computer science research. This paper presents major issues, research methods, retrieval categories and performance evaluation in video retrieval, and proposes existent problems and a novel solving approach for content-based video retrieval. As the key technology of Founder media assets management system, proposed approach is applied to the video database retrieval in TV station, and achieves superior pe rformance.
