QR decomposition SMI Algorithm is a popular adaptive beamforming algorithm with the need for forward and backward substitution,and it is not really real-time and parallel.A mixed QR decomposition SMI algorithm and systolic array structure wich is suitable to be implemented for parallel and fully pipelined instantaneous optimal weight extraction are presented.Compared with QRD-SMI algorithm,the proposed one can extract the instantaneous optimal weight without the need for forward and backward substitution,it is really real-time and parallel.The simulation results show that the algorithm is real-time and effective.
