A Model of Software Reliability Considering Non-failure Stops

Shen Yuan-long · Informatization Research · 2009

The classical random-time software reliability models are based on successive inter-failure times, and they disregard the non-failure stop times. In this paper, according to the Maximum Information Principle we exploit available information as much as possible,so as to account for the non-failure stops and introduce or modify some presumptions which make the conditions more approach the practical case. Then the existing S-W model is rebuilt according to the modified presumptions and the result of emulation for the new model is analyzed.
