Knowledge representation based on web ontology language OWL

The research on methods of knowledge representation plays an important part in the knowledge management system research.The idea using web ontology language OWL into knowledge representation is presented.OWL is analyzed concisely from the respects of interoperability,expandability,representation capability and sublanguages for different users.And then,it interprets the principle of knowledge representation based on OWL with an example using OWL to describe pedagogical resources.OWL-based knowledge re-presentation is a representation method that is relatively more capable in representation and it is syntactically independent,easy to expand and applicable for distribute system.
