Digital image encryption using zigzag scan coding

In order to protect valuable data from undesirable reader,improve the security of information.By analysis the position of every pixel in digital image,an encryption algorithm based on Zigzag scan coding is proposed.First,the original digital image is divided into the same size region,and then the image is encrypted by transform every region according to the Zigzag scan coding.The encrypted image can by decrypted by the inverse Zigzag scan coding transformation.The security and periodicity of the proposed algorithm is discussed.The results indicate that the proposed algorithm get satisfying effect and improved the security of digital image.
