Conceptual Modeling for Microworld Oriented to Scientific Discovery Learning

A microworld is a highly interactive simulation based learning environment oriented to scientific discovery learning.However,the complexity of scientific discovery learning and the absence of support for this learning pattern obstruct microworlds to be used effectively.Based on the review of psychological research for scientific discovery learning,the activity structure of scientific discovery learning can be divided into executive layer and meta-strategy layer.According to the activity structure,a conceptual model of microworld was built to support scientific discovery learning,in which student model,activity model and context model are cores.
