An Overview of Automatic Question and Answering System

The automatic question and answering system(QA) is a hot research field in natural language processing(NLP),which includes many kinds of NLP technologies.This paper introduces the current development of QA at home and abroad and analyzes the three parts of QA:question analysis,information retrieval and answer extraction.By comparing the advantages and weaknesses of various technologies,this paper prompts the development direction of QA.
