Effect of Pinus koraiensis Seeds Stored on Germination Rate from Different Areas
Xue Li · Forest Investigation Design · 2009
Pinus koraiensis is one of major planting tree species in the northeast of China, and the stored seeds are usually used to cultivate seedlings for planting. Examination of seed quality and test of germination rate of Pinus koraiensis seeds from 6 provenances and 7 seedlots were conducted, the results showed there were not significant differences between storage period of Pinus koraiensis seeds from different areas and their seed quality, and germination rate accords with the result of seed quality test. It is concluded that germination rate of stored Pinus koraiensis seeds can be ensured with the security of fine provenance and good sowing quality.
