A Pattern-based Service Integration Methodology

Contemporary service systems increasingly exhibit trends of being opened,integrated,and scaled. To study a systematic optimization approach for designing and operating such integrated services under those new features thus gains critical significance. This paper discusses the concept and basic characteristics of service pattern,and further proposes a pattern- based service integration optimization framework. By considering on- demand service lifecycle,key problems related to the framework are identified. The basic process of this optimization and the relations among the key problems are also presented. This framework sets up systematic guidance to integrated optimization of domain services considering service value characteristics such as requirement scale,service capacity,uncertainty and service profit.
