Research and Implementation on Semi-automatic Construction about Domain Ontology Based on Thesaurus

How to effectively organize and manage the information resources and provide high quality information services,as a concept modeling tool from the semantic and knowledge level,ontology is a new way to solve the problems and has already drew much attention of the researchers worldwide. The basic theoretical knowledge of ontology and thesaurus are dicussed. With the Web Ontology Language (OWL),a conversion system is desiged and applied,which could convert the knowledge structures and semantic relationships of the thesaurus into domain ontology automatically.
