Design and Implement of 10/100Mb/s Network Card Based on CPCI

A study of special network card board based on CPCI is introduced.Based on CPCI,the features and the functions of Intel 82551 are given,and the details of hardware connection and software design are also presented.The interface circuit of Ethernet controller Intel 82551,CPCI Bus and transmitting media are illuminated.The configuration of Intel 82551 is explained particularly.This network card improves network productivity,increases performance and provides efficiency for host processing.
