Breeding and Application of Early Maize Wu314 Inbred Line

Wu314 inbred line was bred by the inbred line with high-combining ability Huangzaosi and material with 302D and popping corn germplasm. The authors had integrated the recurrent selection in corn strain population with the pedigree method. Wu314 inbred line and the hybrid maize varieties combined with it are extensively in all over China because it has early maturity, high combining ability, high resistance to disease and the superior comprehensive agronomic properties. Wu314 inbred line played significant roles in the maize breeding.
