A method to extract the skeleton of the linear feature based on the voronoi diagram

Skeleton is an important character in linear feature.How to extract the skeleton rapidly and accurately attracts many experts' attention.In order to extract the skeleton of linear feature quickly,by comparing the difference and relationship between the skeleton and Voronoi Diagram,a method which designed to attain the skeleton of the linear feature based on the Voronoi Diagram is put forward.The validity is testified through a case study in which the skeleton of a part of Minjiang river in Fuzhou has been extracted by the method,and its disadvantage is also analyzed.
