Influence of Damper Winding Arrangement on Powerformer's Air Gap Magnetic Field and Parameter

Using finite element method-ANSYS, the magnetic fields of powerformer with odd number damper winding or even number are calculated. Then the influence of the number and arrangement of damper winding on magnetic parameter and performance of electric machine are discussed. Finally, some useful conclusions for practical engineering are obtained.
