Key issues involved in the development of drug targets

With the completion of Human Genome Project,the discovery of gene function and the achievement of various high-throughput screening methods,drug targets have become very important in modern drug research and development.However,the number of new drugs access to clinical trials and markets is not increased,even on a downward trend.In this article,we present the reasons for the reduction of drugs innovations,the impact of science and technology on drug targets,and then predict the prospects of drug targets.Meanwhile,the key issues that need to be resolve will also be discussed.
