A Dynamic Page Migration Mechanism Based on Instantaneous Access Information
Xuejun Yang · Computer Engineering and Science · 2003
Page migration is an optimization policy to exploit data locality in distributed shared-memory systems but hindered by its temporal and spatial cost and its architectural dependence. In this paper, we propose a common instantaneous information-based page migration mechanism on the standpoint of CC-NUMA and cluster systems with single system image support. Finally we bring along the implementation scheme of our policy based on the Linux kernel.
