Packet scheduling scheme able to dynamically allocate radio resources for GPRS radio access network

Shuo Li · Journal of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications · 2005

The authors present a traffic-scheduling framework that can dynamically allocate radio resources to a GPRS mobile station based on the interference levels of the radio links and quality of server specification of the MS.In this scheme,an MS uses a low transmission rate for data transfer when MS is within high interference region to avoid wasting bandwidth by transmitting data in the condition with high interference. The authors allocate more bandwidth to MS when it is within a low interference region in order to compensate the service loss of the MS.
