The Contrast between the Prototype Category Theory and the Relevance Theory

Based on the man's cognition,the prototype category theory is also called category theory.It thinks that the category and prototype plays a very important role in the process of man's cognition;the relevance theory regards that the communication is a process of ostensive-reference process form the cognitive perspective.And the cognitive context provides the tool for pragmatic reference.To the communicators,they must find the optimal relevance to fulfill their communication intention.
