Survivability Analysis of Ad Hoc Network Based on GSPN Model

Tianlong Gu · Journal of Guilin University of Electronic Technology · 2009

The measures of survivability analysis on Ad Hoc network mainly focus on analyzing survivability of one hop route with some faults consideration using Markov chain model or analyzing survivability of more hops route without some faults consideration. In order to analyze survivability of more hops route with some faults consideration,a Generalized Stochastic Petri net(GSPN) model that could represent the transmission relation of dynamic data between any two nodes and consider the effects of different faults was developed.Based on the GSPN model, through calculating the probability of two nodes' connectivity, using parameters such as node's transmission range, average number of neighbors and fault frequency, the survivability was analyzed. The results of the analysis are valuable for choosing proper transmission range or average number of neighbors.
