Study of a Model for Management of Computer Network

An analysis is made of the situation of rapid development of computer network and its application and the lagging of network management,and a model called ONMS is presented to solve the problem of network management. This model is used to manage open computer networks. It is independent of any nodes in the computer network,and it manages and attempers all dynamic and static resources (including data,network devices,nodes,memory,CPUs,processes,etc.). To describe the network management system more subtly,a term called “net process” is put forward.Additionally,the differences between “net process” and “process” are described.Finally,the functions of ONMS and its developing trend are described.
