Recognition of character strings based on projection moment invariant

Character strings are identified based on rotating projection without invariant moment. Firstly, rotate the deflective character string to horizontal level, then project the grey image of the character string from top, and sum up the black dot pels, the value act as a grey accumulated scatter chart, which is invariant to translation and zoom in scale. Therefore identity of grey accumulated scatter chart of each English letter as a geometry shape could be changed by Hough. Study of automatical correction of character sting, constitution of grey accumulation scatter chart, automatic threshold value selection shows that this method is of good effect.
