Method of Delay Estimation Based on Frequency Compensation

The existence of Doppler frequency in normal TDOA(Time Difference of Arrival) location will bring more delay estimation errors if the object is in motion.A method combining autocorrelation and cross-correlation gives a better estimation of the frequency difference.Then,a method based on phase spectrum is used to estimate the delay following frequency compensation.Simulation results show that the method based on frequency compensation significantly minimizes the impact of frequency difference on the accuracy of delay estimation.
