Data dissemination algorithm based on network coding and clustering in vehicular Ad Hoc network

In order to improve the efficiency and reliability of data dissemination in Vehicular Ad hoc NETwork( VANET), this paper puts forward a data dissemination algorithm based on network coding called DDR. To address the network congestion caused by the fact that all the nodes can request and forward data, a clustering-based Agent selection approach was adopted, proposing a PSO based cluster-head election in order to let cluster-head broadcast the encoded blocks.Compared with existing solutions, DDR better suits the city scenario, as the simulations have shown, for it can maintain a higher delivery rate and lower communication traffic.
