An Improved Fast Fractal Image Compression Approach

Based on further analysis of PIFS fractal image encoding algorithm,this paper presents four factors that influence fractal encoding speed.For these factors,several improved methods are proposed.Experiments' results show the efficiency of the proposed hybrid approach in encoding speed and compression ratio.
