A wireless sensor node is typically battery operated and the battery is not easy to replace,so how to use its limited energy effectively is the most important thing concerned by wireless sensor network(WSN).Dynamic voltage scaling(DVS) can reduce the energy consumption of the processor by allowing software to dynamically vary the voltage and frequency of the processor. This paper has analyzed some existing DVS algorithms and presents a DVS algorithm about relay nodes according to multihop routing and topology easily changed. At last the DVS algorithm is simulated on network simulator 2.The results of simulation indicate that the algorithm can save power consumption of WSN nodes and increase the life-span of WSN system.
