Iris Feature Extraction Based on Symlets Wavelet

A novel method of iris feature extraction based on biorthogonal wavelet is proposed.Symlets wavelet transform is used to extract feature for mapped iris images.Then the k-nearest neighbor classifier is used to match two iris features.Tests show that compared with the method of db 4,new method has improved the recognition rate.
