Adaptive cache management method for opportunistic network based on number of message copies
Puning Zhang · Journal of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications · 2011
In the opportunistic networks,if a message has more copies,it will have a higher probability of successful delivery. We first estimate the number of message copies according to the network's historical information, and demonstrate the number of the message copies living for the same time is normal distribution. Then an adaptive cache management method based on the number of message copies is proposed.Simulation results show that this method can effectively improve message delivery probability and reduce the network latency, not increasing the network overhead.
