A hierarchical distributed time synchronization algorithm

For satisfying the demand of time synchronization needed by distributed time division multiple address(TDMA)networking used in wireless Ad hoc networks,a new algorithm of grade distributed time synchronization is proposed. A new choosing system based on time reference node is adopted in the algorithm to achieve real time update of the reference nodes. A new method of layered time grade combined with time quality is also used to make every node synchronize with other nodes which are nearest to the time reference node in the network. The simulation results show that the method can improve the synchronization accuracy,and satisfy the requirement of time synchronization in wireless Ad hoc networks of distributed TDMA networking.
