Design and implementation of Web GIS for coal mining softrock

The development of Internet and GIS technology provides a new method for softrock engineering technology spreading and information resource sharing. This paper describes how to implement a webGis for coal mining softrock. The designing process of softrock database is introduced, and the data that can be stored includes graphical information and attributes. The method that employer GIS Server base on subassembly by MapObjects is given, and the main function of the webGis system has been demonstrated. The system can provide powerful supporting help to softrock mining.
