This paper reviewed the current research situation in the field of Internet Of Things(IOT),and summarized the characters of geo-information.From the aspects of core techniques and application fields,this paper discussed the important role of geo-information techniques for construction of IOT,and emphasized on the fundamental position of geo-information public platform for constructing IOT.
