Performance Analysis for the Lazy Repair Strategy of the Fixed Nodes in a Hybrid P2P Network

Jin Shun-f · Journal of Chinese Computer Systems · 2014

With the spread of the mobile network and growth of the mobile business,P2P technology in traditional network has been extended to mobile one,as a result,a hybrid P2P network including fixed and mobile nodes has emerged. Based on the working principle of the lazy repair strategy of the fixed nodes in a hybrid P2P network, combining the numbers of user requests, online mobile nodes, online fixed nodes and fixed nodes in repair process,a four dimensional continuous time Markov chain model is constructed.By using a matrix geometric solution method, the system model is analyzed in steady state, expressions of the performance measures, such as system failure ratio and data average access time, are given. Numerical experiments are provided to illustrate the influence of the number of fixed nodes on the system performance.
