A Simulated Annealing Algorithm Hybrid for Multi-response Parameter Optimization Based on Desirability Functions

This paper proposes a simulated annealing-based metaheuristic hybrid to find the maxima of the overall desirability function.In this approach,the simulated annealing(SA) algorithm is employed to explore the searching space,the pattern search(PS) algorithm being employed to refine the so-obtained solutions.The SA and PS are cooperated in two different manners: the pipeline manner and the embedded manner.We use a numerical example for illustration,and the results reveal that the pipeline type of the algorithm has powerful global search ability as well as good convergence precision.
