Image Retrieval System Based on Weighted Color Histogram and Color Pairs

The paper presents an image retrieval algorithm based on weighted color histogram and an image retrieval algorithm based on color pairs. In the algorithm, the weighted color histogram and the color pairs of image are used as characteristics of image to realize image matching by calculating image similarity. An image retrieval system based on weighted color histogram and color pairs is designed and implemented by Visual C ++ , and its structure is described. The retrieval examples to the images are given and its performance is studied. The experiment results show that the image retrieval system is valid.
