Fast Frequency Hopping Characteristics in WPAN Environment

Qiu Xiao-hua · Journal of Circuits and Systems · 2004

Collisions would happen among several fast frequency-hopping systems in the same cell of WPAN environment as to deteriorate communication quality. Accordingly, solution to obtain the average collision probability among coexisting frequency- hopping systems is proposed. Bluetooth frequency-hopping system, as a typical example of fast frequency hopping systems in WPAN environment, is used to analyze the systems anti-self-disturbance performance and deduce equations between the collision probability and the number of coexisting frequency hopping systems in the same cell. Conclusions thus drawn are of great significance to parallel processing on multiple frequency hopping systems and to the analysis of WPANs performances, especially the QoS (Quality of Service) in complicated environments.
