In this paper,we analyse the properties of BSP model a nd PC cluster. The principles of design of BSP algorithms and their software are given. We illustr ate the methods that use cost formula to evaluate BSP algorit hms a nd their software. The results show that it can get a good evaluation of p arallel algorithm by using cost formula of BSP model, and it is helpful for the design and optimization of parallel algorithms on PC clusters.
