The Status and Strategy of WebGIS Technique Applied in Environmental Systems Development

Network technique and GIS technique applied to modern environmental protection,promotes the development of environmental protection into the information highways,which makes it possible to share the result and data of GIS.However,problems such as the diversity of technique,immaturity of technique,inconsistency of platform,and not forming functional modules,occur in the process of high degree integration of technique.The large amount of data makes GIS map slow in response speed,B/S based structure is not as flexible as C/S based structure,and the confidentiality of GIS data is higher than that of normal data.All these challenge the application of WebGIS.This paper analyses these questions one by one and puts forward respective solutions.
