Design and Realization of an Enterprise-Level SIP Gateway

The LAN-based IP telephone system can not only transmit voice, but also provide different kinds of intelligent services. The PSTN gateway is the key component of this system for connecting the inside network with the outside PSTN network. This paper focuses on the design and realization of the PSTN gateway and proposes a method to carry out the PSTN gateway. Some key issues and their solutions to the implementation of the PSTN gateway are discussed.
