Establishment of standard system for data sharing of water resources

A review of the advancement in standardization of scientific data sharing is presented.On this basis the necessity of establishing the technical standard for data collection,data storage and data sharing in China is discussed.The corresponding technical standards for classified coding,data element,metadata,data exchange format,data collection quality control and data checking management are proposed.This standards form the technical standard system for data sharing in the field of water resources for China.
