The Multi-Channel Assignment Strategy Based on Cluster in Wireless Mesh Networks

Nowadays, as a kind of multi-hop self-organizing network,Wireless Mesh Networks(WMN) have been become the hot topic. As a kind of hierarchical structure, cluster structure is the most widely used in self-organizing. However,the formation and maintenance of a hierarchical structure depends on certain clustering algorithm.Based on the cluster ideal, with a multi-channel MAC technology can improve the goodput of the WMN. The comprehensive method in the Mesh network will present the multi-channel key technology and the cluster structure in the self-organizing network. So a multi-channel assignment strategy is proposed which is suited in the WMN. The results of Simulation show that this strategy has greater goodput than the classic method which is Hyacinth.
