Discovering topology in the sensor nodes of monitoring region, which reflects the monitoring capability of wireless sensor networks(WSN),is a prerequisite issue for WSN applications. For the consideration that existing topology discovery methods consume overly large energy and have poor network connectivity, design a mobile Agent based topology discovery scheme for WSN which utilizes the characteristics of mobile agents.Build a mathematical model for topology discovery and propose a topology method upon relative neighborhood graph theory.Experiments show that the proposed mechanism achieves better performance and stability than existing methods, which can solve the problem of consuming excessive energy caused by lots of node topology information request.
