Method of Handwritten Chinese Characters Normalization Based on Stroke Width Extraction

Stroke deformation is an important factor to effect the performance of the handwritten Chinese character recognition system.In this paper,a method of Chinese character stroke width extraction is advanced.A technique to normalize handwritten Chinese character based on stroke width extracted are presented.It is found that proposed methods not only can reserve the stroke features of original handwritten Chinese characters,but also improve the differences of stroke deformation.
