Research and Optimization of Key Arithmetic of RSA and Its Hardware Implementation

RSA public-key cryptosystem,whose basic key arithmetic operation is modular exponentiation,is widely used in the information security areas such as digital signature and identification authentication.In this paper,the modified Montgomery-Yang modular multiplication algorithm and the fast binary scanning method are used to realize this modular exponentiation.The hardware implementation based on the two algorithms not only achieves high speed,but also reduces the chip area.
