New digital image encryption algorithm protect from shearing attack

Zhang Tai-zhong · Computer Engineering and Applications Journal · 2008

An encryption algorithm based on self-embedding is proposed to protect from shearing attack to improve security of the encryption algorithms. The image pixels are encrypted by Lorenz chaotic sequences after the image is divided into 8×8 blocks and each block's important image information is embed into another block located by Lorenz system.Simulation results show that the algorithm can not only improve security, but also effectively protect from shearing attack.
