Research in Software Scale Estimation Based on Function Points

The FPE contributes to the scale estimation in the early software project,providing the support for plans,decisions and resource distribution of the project.The applicability,advantages and shortcomings of the function point estimation,were described,with concrete methods and steps designed.First,to calculate the unadjusted function points,then,to compute the adjusted function point as the function points of the software scale estimation.Last,according to the relation between function points and the lines of the source code,the software scale was expressed with the lines of the source code.
