The Scalar Multiplication of Points on a Conic over Finite Fields

The paper introduce the group structures of the points on a conic over finite fields and propose three different methods to compute the addition between points. An explicit analysis of the efficiency of th scalar multiplication is also given. By comparison, we conclude that the operations on conics are more efficien than those on elliptic curves is concluded.
