Reconstruction of a 3D digital face model representing a smile expression

Objective:To build 3-D digitizing face model representing a smile expression and be helpful to the imitating restoration of maxillofacial defects.Method:A 3D CaMaga system was used to get the primitive point data of face,and then the point data were conducted with the three-dimensional design software so that a 3-D digitizing face model was acquired.Result:A 3-D digitizing face model representing a smile expression was successfully reconstructed by this method.Conclusion:The phase measuring profilometry was fast and effective to get a 3-D digitizing face model representing a smile expression and this method provides a feasible solution to the fabrication of diverse facial prostheses.
